This course looks at the combinations of benefits that are available to people who are over pension age.
We cover PIP and Attendance Allowance, State Pension, Carer’s Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and Council Tax discounts and exemptions.
We see the effects of private pensions and savings.

- The qualifying criteria for Attendance Allowance – the care needs benefit for older people making new claims
- State Pension and Carer’s Allowance and the overlapping benefits rule and underlying entitlements (Ffs!)
- Pension Credit – Including the SDP
- Claiming for children – CTC or PC?
- Savings and tariff income
