Why Do This Course?
When you first encounter the benefits system it can seem like an impenetrable maze.
So many different payments and allowances, with no overall logic and different agencies who tell you different, often contradictory things
But once you have a grip on some basic ideas the benefits system becomes much easier to understand.
This short zoom course gives you those basic ideas and provides you with strong foundation to begin working with the social security system.
And it’s free!
When?
The sessions are on the afternoon of the last Friday of:
- November (29th)
- January (31st)
- February (28th)
- March (28th)
- April (25th)
- May (30th)
Each session will run from 12:50 – 15:00
You will get a zoom link a day or two before the session.
Your zoom link is for you only. Do not share it.
Each zoom session will start at 12:40 so you have 10 minutes to log on and get your settings sorted out.
Who Can Take Part?
This training is for anyone who works in a setting where they support people dealing with the benefits system.
This is video training, so you will need to have your camera on, and you will need your own (not shared) tablet or computer (not a phone)
How Do I Book?
I don’t have an online booking system, so just email me – telling me which session you’d like to take part in and very briefly where you work and what you job-role is.
