This is about the help that you (would) need, most days, to
- Express yourself through speech
- Hear and understand what other people say to you
And to do all of this:
- in a reasonable time (no more than twice as long as a person without a disability would take),
- to an acceptable standard,
- whenever you need to through the day and the night,
The Questions:
Aids: To talk to and hear other people, what physical things do you use, that you would not need if you did not have your condition?
Communication Support: To communicate verbally, do you need support from someone who learned how to do it through training or experience? If so:
- What support do you need?
- How did the person who provides this lear how to do it?
- How do you manage with simple, single sentences?
- How do you manage with complex sentences or more than one sentence?
Can’t do it: Is it true that even with aids and/or communication support, you:
- still can’t communicate verbally in a reasonable time?
- still can’t do it to an acceptable standard?
- can’t do it at all?
